Very Brief Update

Well, considering it's 1:20 AM...this will be short. I'll post again with more details, but wanted to say all is going well. I didn't have to be in the hospital on Christmas, we convinced them to release us on Christmas Eve. We have another beautiful little boy, and are SO blessed. I have much more to show and write, but this will have to suffice for the time being. However, Janie has posted a couple of pictures from the hospital. You can link to her blog listed as the "Pace's". It is no longer the newest post so you'll have to scroll down.

Happy Holidays!

Tomorrow is the Day

Somehow I managed to get everything out of order, but don't have time to change it. You'll know what I mean.

I don't have much time to post, but wanted to do a little update since life is going to get crazy really soon, tomorrow, to be exact. I'm officially 37 weeks along today! Whoohoo! I made it farther than I did with Cameron, and am considered full-term today. However, my blood pressure has remained high and been a concern. In addition to that, my baby is growing at an ALARMING rate. I was already measuring very large, but between weeks 35 and 36 he grew approximately 3 weeks worth! WHOA! So after being at the doctor 3 times last week doing many nonstress tests, much blood work, ultrasound, and discovering I was already dilated to a 3 at the end of the week... I am being induced tomorrow. Needless to say my fear of being in the hospital on Christmas day is most likely going to happen. Oh well, there are worse things right?
My life is in transition is many ways. I can't believe Cameron is so grown up. Here are a couple of pictures of him as a baby. It's weird to not think of him as my baby anymore, but he certainly is not. I guess we'll know soon enough if my two boys resemble each other at all.
So, tomorrow is the day. It's odd to know when it's going to happen. I thought it would be a relief, but I've actually been a little anxious about it. Anyway, it'll probably be a while before I post again, so Merry Christmas everyone!

Random Pictures

Cameron loved moving the cows with his dad, and on his very own horse he named Charlie. It was the final move before we sold them. I think it was sad for Wes and Cameron, not so much for me. It's not a joy being this pregnant and chasing cows back in the field every single time Wes went out of town! The last picture is Cameron in his new suit before church. He really likes it, and tells me "My handsome" everytime he wears it. For some reason he chooses not to say "I" most of the time and instead uses "me" or "my". It's cute though, so I rarely correct him. He often says, upon leaving the new house, "Let's go to me old house". I guess I should have dressed him as a pirate for Halloween.

When it rains, it pours

Doesn't it seem like when things get crazy, they get REALLY crazy? That's how it is in my life anyway. I think describing our lives as crazy might be an understatement though. So I guess I'm giving my excuses again for never posting. :)

Anyway, I'm 34 1/2 weeks along now. I'm feeling pretty well and can't complain. Although the realization (and slight panic attack) hit me at my last doctors appointment that I never made it to my 36 weeks appointment with Cameron. If I delivered as early this time around I'd only have about 8-9 days to go, which doesn't sound all that bad (if he's healthy), except...I don't have my Christmas shopping even close to done, my house is a wreck, we're getting to crunch time on getting the house done (choosing carpet, furniture, etc)--so I should not only be cleaning but at least starting to pack a few things. I also want to do a bunch of other things that would be easier to do now than with a newborn, like go to the temple, get Cameron's picture taken, get my hair done, use my giftcard on a pedicure before it expires, etc. etc. Besides the usual--taking care of a two year old, grocery shopping, making dinner, paying bills...you all know the drill.

On top of all this my blood pressure keeps creeping up, so even if I don't deliver early I'm paranoid I'll be put on bedrest. Wes reassures me that everything will be fine, but I just don't think everyone wants giftcards or cash for Christmas, at least not the kids! Did I mention I happened to somehow wash a diaper with a load of laundry today? Yuck! At least it wasn't a dirty one, but a washer full of wet/gel bead things is no fun!

Things aren't as bad as I make them out to be. I'm so excited for the house to be coming together. It is such a blessing to be in a situation to get into our own house, and getting to choose how I want it to be. It seems like it has been a long process, but we really only got started the first week of July, so it's coming together really quite fast. Thanksgiving was great! We got to eat twice! What's better than that? Especially since I'm gaining weight no matter what I eat, so what's wrong with eating pie twice in a day?

Cameron is excited for the baby to come. I think he understands more all the time. We're clueless about a name, but Cameron has been confident in his choice for about 6 weeks now--never wavering! Without any input from anyone he has chosen the name Pickle! Yes, Pickle. Pickle Harris to be exact. He's only come up with two other names on his own, but they were both short lived. Rob, which I assume he chose because he ADORES his uncle Robbie, and Buddy was just out of the blue.

**Quick story about how Cam loves Robbie. He loved watching Robbie play football, and if possible, is even more excited to watch him play basketball. Cameron loves all sports and often says, "When I get bigger, I'm gonna play _________" fill in the blank with all the major sports and "bolleyball" on down to tennis, golf, and bowling. Toward the end of football season Robbie broke his arm in a football game and Cameron started saying, "When I get bigger, I wanna hurt my arm playing football!" It's a good thing Robbie is a good example because Cameron wants to be exactly like him.

One last thing about the baby. I had my last ultrasound about a month ago and the tech pointed out hair! You could see this little guys hair floating above his head. I thought it was so cool! Now it will be interesting to see if he is a little toe-head (SP?) like Cameron or have coloring like my family. Time will tell I guess.

So I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season, and will excuse me for my lack of future posts as I will likely be attempting to complete all of the above in about a week. Wish me luck!!!
